|Rescue Me ID: 13-11-25-00218Miss Basil (female)|
We have had Basil for over four years. She is very trainable. Will come, sit, stay, down. She is lovable, just lies in her bed when we're not home and enthusiastically greets us on our return. Always wants to be where we are and loves to sit on our lap. Is playful and loves to fetch. The problem is inconsistent, but definitely a problem. If she gets something food related or smells like food she becomes vicious if you go near her. She can also be protective and/or jealous of children and caution is necessary. Can you please save/help her!!! Brokenhearted

|Rescue Me ID: 13-11-18-00169Buddy (male)|
My heart breaks that I have to find a new home for my dog Buddy. I adopted him off craigslist last year with no information on him, because the moment I laid eyes on him, I knew he was abused. I worked very hard training him - he knows sit, lay down, and up. He is EXTREMELY affectionate with adults and has played with other dogs of all sizes, been around cats, and has even romped with guinea pigs. However, over the last year, Buddy has become unpredictably aggressive with my eight year old son. We have gone to the hospital because the bites were so severe. I have taken the dog to the vet and we have ruled out any medical complications but it was strongly recommended that we find an adult only home for my dog. Buddy is almost 8 years old and up to date on shots. He has come a long way since we brought him home and just because he doesn't get along with children doesn't mean I think he should be put down. I would love to find the perfect match for this handsome and loveable boy so if you are interested, please feel free to contact me. Adoption fee is negotiable for the right match as this amount will be donated in Buddy's name to my town's animal shelter. (Less)

Cockapoo Dogs can make good pets in New Jersey if they match your IifestyIe. A Cockapoo is a cross between a Cocker Spaniel and a Poodle. Cockapoos are friendly like Cocker Spaniels and shed very little like Poodles. Cockapoos are good family pets and may exhibit a wide variety of characteristics usual in either Cockers or Poodles. A Cockapoo may be half Cocker and half Poodle or have much more of one strain than the other.
