Hi there! My name is Miss Priss. I came into rescue because my mom had Alzheimer's and could no longer care for me. She gave me that name and I know it so my foster mom kept it. I'm about 2 years old and weigh about 20-25 lb. My hair looks like a Cockapoo but my body is long like a Basset Hound or Dachshund. -------------------------------------------------------- I think babies are pretty awesome. I love to sniff and kiss them. But my foster mom found out yesterday that once kids are big enough to be moving around on their own, I lose interest and want to move on to adult humans. So she's looking for a forever home for me with adult ... (Read More)humans and maybe teenage kids who are almost adult size. Little kids visiting are probably fine but I'll mostly ignore them or calmly move away from them. I'm not nippy or anything like that. I just prefer to be in the presence of taller humans. When I get really excited about interacting with my foster mom (like when she comes home from food shopping) I can get a little mouthy. That's another reason why she says I should go to a home with big humans. -------------------------------------------------------- But cats? OMG I love cats! They are so much fun to play with. The resident cat at my foster home took to me right away and we're buds in less than a week. I like to run up to him, play bow, and then tear away at a gallop, then come back and do it all over again. He likes to swat me and wrestle with me when he's in the mood. ------------------------------------------------------- I'm ok with other dogs too. There's male and female dogs here from 12 lb to 64 lb and I'm fine with all of them. I don't care if they steal my food or hog the toys. I'll just chill. ------------------------------------------------------- The truth is really that I'm very people oriented. I just adore people and getting attention from them. I also travel well in the car, so if you have an RV or camper, I might very well be interested in that kind of lifestyle. Meeting new people all the time? Oh, can you just imagine? Sigh. They had adopters come to visit a couple of other dogs at my foster home and I just ran up to those strangers and greeted them like they were old friends. I'm a little more bashful about it outside of my foster home environment, but I still do like people. Once you start loving on me and I think you're nice, I'm all about mugging it up with you! -------------------------------------------------------- I'm not housebroken yet, but I'm learning. Did I mention my former mom had Alzeheimers? I am crate trained though and sleep in a crate at night after a bit of whining about how you're not letting me up on the bed yet. So once you finish this housebreaking training thing, I'll definitely want to be your bed buddy. ------------------------------------------------------- So far I'm a pretty quiet girlie, so I might be ok living in a condo or townhome. I'm a velcro girl and not high energy, so it's not necessary that I have a fenced yard. As long as you're leash walking me and spending time with me, I'm a happy camper. Now I wouldn't turn down a fenced yard, but I'd probably want you to be hanging out in that yard with me. Did I mention velcro? No separation anxiety. I just want to be with you whenever you're home. In bed. In the kitchen. In the bathroom where I like to wedge myself between your legs and that thing they call a toilet bowl. Yeah. Velcro. ------------------------------------------------------- So who loves velcro? Visit that adoption application link, fill that thingy out and click submit and my foster mom will be in touch so we can meet and see if it's a love connection! Oh, and tell your vet she's going to be calling them too. ------------------------------------------------------- ADOPTION APPLICATION: (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Cockapoo in Pennsylvania
Cockapoo Dogs can make good pets in Pennsylvania if they match your IifestyIe. A Cockapoo is a cross between a Cocker Spaniel and a Poodle. Cockapoos are friendly like Cocker Spaniels and shed very little like Poodles. Cockapoos are good family pets and may exhibit a wide variety of characteristics usual in either Cockers or Poodles. A Cockapoo may be half Cocker and half Poodle or have much more of one strain than the other.

lnteresting Cockapoo Trivia Low-Cost Pennsylvania Spay & Neuter Clinics
Cockapoos come in widely different sizes that have different names, such as the Teacup Toy Cockapoo or the Maxi Cockapoo. Cockapoos are hybrids rather than purebreds but some breeders are trying to develop purebred Cockapoos by breeding Cockapoos with other Cockapoos instead of breeding Cockers with Poodles. Cockapoos, like both Cockers and Poodles, may suffer from luxating patellas or loose knees.
